How much notice does Gold Star need to book an event?
The earlier the better, but we are available 24/7 to take your request. Our staff is in highest demand during wedding season and holiday party time.

What does it take to reserve staff?
All we need is a deposit at least 72 hours prior to event. Deposit is half of the 5-hour minimum amount.

How much staff will I need for my event?
The number is based on certain event details. Our qualified event planners will help you decide what will serve your guests the best and work within your budget.

What are your rates?
Our rates depend on the type of event, number and type of staff required. We have an hourly rate with a 5 hour minimum, plus gratuity. Please call so we can provide you with the best information for your specific event.

Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are licensed and we carry general liability insurance. Our staff comprises employees of Gold Star Staffing, not independent contractors. Therefore, all employees are covered under our policy.

Do I need to provide alcohol for your bartender?
Yes, you do need to provide the liquor. Our event planners are happy to help you decide what type of liquor to purchase and how much you'll need for our event.

Do you provide party planning services?
Yes. Our skilled event planners can give you great ideas on how to put your party together. They can advise you on how to supply your bar, refer you to preferred vendors such as caterers and rental companies, and help with many other facets of event planning.

How do I hire a Gold Star staff?
Call us at (805) 496-6666 and one of our event planners will get specific information about your event. We will then be able to advise you on the type and number of staff members you'll need, the timeframe in which you'll need them and uniform selection.

When is payment expected?
We collect payment at the end of the event. You may pay the hourly rate and gratuity in one payment, or separately if you prefer.

What areas do you cover?
We proudly serve Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties, Malibu, the San Fernando Valley, and surrounding areas.
